N,N’-Methylenebisacrylamide is used in the preparation ofpolyacrylamide gels for electrophoretic separation of nucleic acids andproteins. It has also been used as a test compound for studying thebiochemical isolation of insoluble Tau in transgenic mouse models oftauopathy by examining the two main isolation methods sarkosyl andformic acid extraction.
